Submitted by: Tracey Sutton Address: 247 West Street, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 3HU e-mail: sutton193@Wagstaff I am seeking information regarding George Henry Wagstaff of Mexborough. Their children included Frederick, Harry, Harold, Martha May (Dolly), John James and Authur.
There are stories in our family about Danish origins and we really don’t know where the name Wagener comes from. He was also a Diamond Sculls in the Henley regatta.
My grandad was a dentist, John Harman Wagener, and Grandma, Marian Louisa, was a dental mechanic. They lived in a grand house called ‘Aire View’ where he also practiced his dentistry.
